The EOS R cameras require that this lens be used with an adapter like the the or the These are full frame cameras, so you’ll need to use a Super 35/APS-C/movie cropping mode to avoid vignetting. The C70 is a Super 35 camera, so no cropping is necessary when used with this lens.

Super 35 Sensor Coverage. The Canon 18-80mm T4.4 is designed specifically for image sensors measuring 26.2 × 13.8mm and smaller. That makes it perfect for Super-35mm/APS-C crop-sensor C-series cameras, offering a focal length roughly equivalent to 29-128mm.
