Canon® Canon Speedlite 470EX-AI

The Canon Speedlite 470EX-AI is a powerful flash that’s capable of automatically determining and positioning itself at the optimal bounce angle for your shot. Key features include:

AI Bounce Mode. The 470EX-AI’s most notable feature is its new AI Bounce function, which automatically calculates the distance between the flash and the subject along the wall and ceiling, then positions the light at the optimal bounce angle. Semi-auto AI Bounce mode lets you manually set the flash’s angle, and the flash automatically rotates based on the camera’s position and orientation.

Output and Operation. This Speedlite is E-TTL and E-TTL2 compatible. It gives you a 24-105mm (full-frame equivalent) zoom range, a 14mm wide panel, and flash output of GN: 154’ @ ISO 100 and 150mm. You also get 0º to +120º tilt and 360º swivel for full bounce capability.

Controls and Power. The flash’s LCD features a flash-readiness indicator and intuitive button/dial operation. It’s powered via (not included).

Autofocus Assist Beam. The built-in AF assist beam helps you achieve sharp focus in low light.

Optical Receiver Mode. While the 470EX-AI doesn’t offer radio triggering, you can use it as an optical receiver at distances up to 49.2 feet.
