The DJI Zenmuse X7 Camera is a three-axis gimbal-stabilized Super-35 camera that utilizes DJI’s DL-mount lenses. It is currently only compatible with drones. Key features include:

Camera & Gimbal Only. The DJI Zenmuse X7 camera is a high-quality miniature camera system mounted on a three-axis gimbal with a Super-35 sized sensor. The camera is only compatible with Inspire 2 drones as of this writing and uses purpose-made DL-mount lenses from DJI. You will need your own Inspire 2 to make use of the X7 camera. We also rent a if you’d like to get both pieces from us.

Professional Quality Codecs. The X7 is capable of recording in 6K ProRes RAW and 6K CinemaDNG on Inspire 2 drones with the RAW license upgrade and in 5.4K ProRes on Inspire 2 drones with ProRes license upgrade. If you have neither of these upgrades installed, you’ll be limited to DCI 4K resolution in an H.265 codec.

Wide Dynamic Range. The X7 sensor leverages its Super-35 size to capture much more light than both the X5S and X4S camera resulting in a wide 14 stops of dynamic range. Both highlight roll-off and skin tones are much improved with this extra latitude.

Lens Compatibility. DJI designed a mount system that minimizes lens size and weight. This means that only DL mount lenses will work on the X7 system. We currently offer from DJI.
