The GoPro Super Suit Dive Housing for HERO5 / HERO6 / HERO7 is an optional add-on accessory that provides more protection than the cameras’ standard frame mount offers. Key features include:

Compatibility. This housing is only compatible with the GoPro HERO5 Black, , and .

Dive Housing. The GoPro HERO5 Black, , and have a redesigned body that’s waterproof down to 33 feet without needing a housing. If you plan on diving deeper or don’t completely trust the camera’s waterproof seals, the Super Suit Dive Housing is what you want. It has a 197-foot depth rating. Need underwater filters? Super Suit. This housing isn’t just for expanding waterproof depth rating. GoPros are often used in potentially catastrophic situations, and a naked GoPro HERO5 Black, , or isn’t going to hold up on its own. The Super Suit Dive Housing offers additional protection in these instances.

Interchangeable Backdoors. With the rental you’ll receive (1) waterproof backdoor and (1) skeleton backdoor. The waterproof backdoor is not touch-sensitive, while the skeleton backdoor allows full access to the rear touchscreen at the expense of no longer being waterproof.

Some Assembly Required. You must remove the Protective Lens from the camera to use the dive housing. Doing so makes the camera no longer waterproof on its own until put this back on. In other words, don’t assume you can use the skeleton door down to 33 feet—you can’t.
