The Leica 75mm f/2 APO Summicron ASPH’s long focal length, which splits the difference between normal and telephoto, makes it ideal for photojournalism, medium-distance work, and general use. Its bright f/2 maximum aperture is great for low-light shooting and gives you substantial depth-of-field control, while its 1.6-foot minimum focusing distance lets you get in close. Using a APS-C sensor camera? You’ll have a focal length equivalent to 112.5mm.

Advanced Optical Design. The lens’s floating-element optical system features eleven elements in nine groups, including one aspherical element that cuts down on aberrations while keeping pictures very sharp and clear. A multi-layer coating minimizes the effects of flaring and ghosting.

Dual Syncro Drive Autofocus System. This autofocus system gives you precise, nearly silent, and exceptionally fast performance that’s great for still and video alike. You also get full-time manual-focus override for greater precision, while the lens’s internal-focusing design helps keep image quality consistent from 1.6 feet to infinity.
