Exceptional Sharpness. The Nikon 14-24mm f/2.8G ED AF-S has a Silent Wave Motor for fast autofocusing, and two extra-low dispersion elements and a Nano Crystal coating for superb sharpness even wide open. An f/2.8 aperture in a zoom this wide with full-frame coverage is unheard of—Nikon has cemented their place as the leader in wide-angle optics with this lens.

Caveats. Please note that there’s no way to use a filter with this lens, other than modifying a square filter holder. Additionally, while this lens offers very high image quality, there’s distortion at its widest setting, so wide group shots will give you very unhappy people on the edges—at least once they see the images.
