What’s Changed? Not much. This updated version sees the addition of weather-sealing that the previous generation Panasonic 14-140mm f/3.5-5.6 OIS lacked. However, as usual, take “weather-sealed” with a grain of salt with any lens.
Versatile All-in-One Zoom. The Panasonic 14-140mm f/3.5-5.6 II ASPH Power OIS’s versatile 28-280mm equivalent focal length range makes it a solid choice for a range of applications, from landscapes to portraiture. Its 11.8-inch minimum focusing distance and 0.25x maximum magnification make it great for capturing close-up subjects.
High-Quality Optical Design. The twelve-group/thirteen-element optical formula includes three aspherical elements and two extra-low dispersion elements to increase clarity and sharpness while reducing chromatic aberrations and distortion. Multi-coatings have been applied to the elements to combat flare and ghosting.
High-Speed Stepping Autofocus Motor. The stepping motor provides fast, accurate, nearly silent autofocus performance for still and video use. This autofocus system is compatible with Lumix cameras’ high-speed contrast-detection autofocus systems for speeds up to 240 fps.
Optical Image Stabilization. The in-lens stabilizer helps to combat camera shake, allowing you to shoot hand-held at slower shutter speeds.
