More Power. The Panasonic DMW-BGS1 lets you use an additional DMW-BLJ31 battery to double the S1 / S1R’s battery life. One battery is in the camera, while the other is in this grip.
Improved Ergonomics. The addition of a battery grip provides a more comfortable grip when shooting in the vertical/portrait orientation. It also adds a shutter release, two control dials, Fn button, AF-ON button, and an AF point joystick.
Solid Build. The DMW-BGS1 grip features the same dust-, splash-, and freezeproof design as the S1 / S1R.
