It’s obviously designed to be a macro lens; however, when you hit the focus limit switch, you get a stabilized 90mm equivalent that is beautiful as a mid-range tele. While it doesn’t have a blazing-fast aperture, the addition of a built-in stabilizer makes very worthwhile for less-than-perfect lighting conditions.
