The Sennheiser MKH 8060 Short Shotgun Microphone is a very compact but high quality supercardioid-pattern shotgun microphone well suited for both on-camera and boom-mounted recording requiring high-sensitivity, low-distortion audio. Key features include:

Sennheiser Quality. The Sennheiser MKH 8060 shotgun microphone has the sturdy build quality we’ve come to expect from Sennheiser. The all-metal housing is smaller than other comparable shotgun mics and is suited for mounting on-camera without extending into the image.

High Sensitivity Audio. The MKH8060 has a higher sensitivity capsule than the tried-and-true making it more suitable for shoots requiring precise high frequency audio. The supercardioid capsule offers pinpoint directional pickup and reduces off-axis sound without coloration for clean, natural results.
