Great for Low-Light Photography. This lens’s fast f/1.2 maximum aperture gives you great low-light performance and excellent depth-of-field control for using selective-focusing techniques.

It has a 0.16x maximum magnification ratio and a 1.2-foot minimum focusing distance. Even though this is a manually focusing lens, it transfers EXIF data to the camera so that you can use in-camera stabilization, magnification, and other features.

I also find the focal length to be perfect for everyday situations; it sits right between the common 35mm and 50mm focal lengths at 40mm. The lens also features a de-clicking ring for video shooters, and although it’s manual focus only, it does transfer EXIF data. All in all, the lens is sharp and fast with beautiful colors and bokeh.
